this installment is the cumulation of my work for my ceramics class at uc davis, fall 2017. it features two separate projects, metamorphosis (larger figure with disconnected head) and dreamers (two smaller figures with organic coral pieces surrounding them).
metamorphosis signifies change. it is coming to terms with the uncomfortable shell that you are given, yet continuing to grow from the inside out. it is exhaustion personified - slumped over, tiredness, but knowing the potential that resides inside.
dreamers reflects the intimacy in relationships. feeling like you are the only ones in the world. the sculptures convey an intimate space that belongs to only you and them.
